Really Random Thoughts
So it's Wednesday, huh? If everything has gone according to plan, I'll be sleeping in this morning and then flying home from St. Louis in the afternoon. I've been working nonstop the last 3 days at my company conference. As I write this, my guess is that I've had a great time and am completely exhausted.
Here's an outfit from last week. As I edited photos, I noticed my pocket is all goofy, but it's too late to go back. You probably wouldn't have noticed, but I had to mention it, so if you notice, you'll know that I know.
It's almost time for another theme week! I'm joining forces with Heidi next week to wear dresses for 5 posts in a row! This is another theme I should probably just do a whole month of. Sorry for the dangling preposition. I'd feel pretentious if I said "This is another theme for which I should probably do a whole month." And sometimes grammar takes a backseat to icky feelings. I also like to sometimes split infinitives. So now you know all my dark secrets.
Anyway, DRESS WEEK starts on June 16th! Join us for one day or all days or somewhere in between! Or zero days if you aren't into dresses.
**Disclaimer - I wrote this after a 15+ hour workday, so I'm a little loopy.
Cardigan, Blouse, Skirt: Gap
Shoes: Old Navy
I love your theme weeks. You can so count me in on posting a few outfit. I hope you can find some time to get some sleep and relaxation
ReplyDeleteThat is the bad thing about having husband's or using tripods to take pics, you don't see odd things in photos until afterwards, but oh well! It's still a cute outfit! I love the top with your metallic skirt! Yay for dress week! :)
ReplyDeleteI can agree to that! I once had an entire post's worth of outfit pictures with my bra strap showing! I ended up cropping my left arm out of most of the photos!
Deleteyayyy I'm so excited for this one. I have some dresses that need to get worn and this is a perfect opportunity! Hope you get your energy back soon!
ReplyDeleteI won't judge your grammar, as I'm at fault for the same violations (and for my career choice, I should be better about it!). I really like those flats!
ReplyDeletewowweeee sounds like an intense week Andi! hope you make it back home safe where you can sleep for a long, long while. also- super jealous you've seen Ben Folds so many times! apparently he lives in Nashville so I keep expecting to see him around, but honestly, I would rather see him in concert :) I love your skirt!
ReplyDelete♥ perfectly Priya
Yep I would not have noticed the pocket thing if you hadn't said something, but I know I would have said something if it was me too! I often end sentences with prepositions because the correct way just sounds too strange. Anyway, this outfit is pretty perfect, I love the combination of colors and that print!
ReplyDeleteDoes this skirt have some sparkle in it? I reeeeally like the length, cut, and color. I'm an English teacher, and I give you permission to break grammar rules for the sake of connecting to your readers. We English nerds call that descriptive grammar versus prescriptive grammar. And can you please tell me what that little iron thing is on the floor? I've seen it in several of your pictures, and I keep wondering what it is.
ReplyDeleteI really like that skirt! Wonky pocket and all!
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit, have fun in St. Louis!
ReplyDeleteYayyyy dresses! I can definitely participate in this one! :) Also, I agree with Danielle that the length, cut, and color of this skirt are perfect on you!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of dress week, especially since it is supposed to 90+ next week! Is there an indtagram hash tag to use? I don't do a blog (too much work to keep up) but do ootd on IG and would love to share that way.
ReplyDeletehuzzah for dresses this week! and isn't it funny that we feel the need to point out the smallest inconsistency with our outfits but really isn't that big of a deal? i do that too if i have something odd in my pocket like chapstick or something. anyway, i love the metallic-look of your skirt with the print and bright green, this looks great on you!
