Just a Little News
This might be one of my favorite casual fall/winter outfits. It's just easy but I still felt stylish! And normally I wouldn't post a picture with my belly protruding, but I'm making an exception, since there's a baby growing in there.
Wait... What?
You read that right. I'm pregnant! Exactly halfway done, actually. As you might guess, John and I are pretty excited about the whole thing. Baby Smith is supposed to arrive in early May, which seems really far away, but then also really close, because I have so many things to accomplish before then.
I don't intend for this to turn into a pregnancy blog, but as my belly grows, it is going to be sort of hard to avoid mentioning it in my outfit posts. I figured I should come clean before it got awkward.
Speaking of awkward, I've learned in the last couple months that John and I are the absolute worst at sharing the news. It's basically like: wait for an awkward silence in the conversation, blurt out "So... I'm pregnant!" and then everyone is confused and doesn't know if I'm serious, because why didn't we say something right away??
Oh, and it's Tuesday, so go link up with Laura! I'll try to be confident with my ever-expanding belly.

WAHOOO!!!!!! SUPER EXCITED FOR YOU BOTH!! You are so cute and I am going to love seeing how you style that belly! Congratulations!! (Also, I agree, sharing pregnancy news is always weird. You never know how to bring it up!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Super exciting news!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! I found it kind of weird news to share, so I understand the feeling. I tended to just blurt it out because what else is there to say? Also I liked waiting to share because now it'll make the pregnancy seem fast, instead of everyone asking "did you have that baby yet?!" like they will if they know from really early on, ha. So happy for your little family and looking forward to seeing how you transition your style into maternityland :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! How wonderful!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! I'm so happy for the both of you.
ReplyDeleteANDI! THAT'S SUCH BIG NEWS! Congratulations! I can't wait to see you in all of your cute pregnancy wear!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and John! That's one lucky baby in there 😊
ReplyDeleteAhhhh!!!! CONGRATS!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I'm dying over how you snuck that in there... "normally I wouldn't post a picture with my belly protruding...." hahaha I love it! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit too btw!
Wow, yay!!! Congratulations! What exciting news!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!! Congrats to you both!!
ReplyDeletehaha way to hide it until this point! And CONGRATULATIONS! I'm sure someday when I'm pregnant I'll be an awkward sharer too...I'm just not organized enough to think of a cute way to tell people beforehand!
ReplyDeleteHuge congrats on your soon-to-come baby and I think blurting it out for the first time (to anyone) is not easy. Congrats once again and I also love this simple, casual yet totally chic outfit. I need a tan long/grandpa-style cardigan like yours.
ReplyDeleteP.S. May is a great month to be born. Hey, I am a Taurus. But we are so damn stubborn though. =D
Happy belated congrats!! I've been out with the flu all week, but made it a priority to stop by and say yayyyy for you and John!! If I'm anything like I was for sharing engagement news, I won't tell anyone but then they'll ask me and I'll just be like "oh.. yeah... for some time now." ha
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, congrats to you andi!! this is such exciting news!! :)
ReplyDeleteHere it is! I don't feel as far behind now. Congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteI am just now catching up on blogs. When I was looking at a picture on your Instagram, I was like, "I spy a baby belly." That should have told me right then to come check out your blog, but I did not think to do that. What great news!! Merry Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH! I am just now catching up on blogs, and I am SO excited for you and John!!! Hooray for a little nugget! You look great - how have you been feeling??
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law and sister-in-law just told us on Christmas Eve that they're pregnant as well (woo!! I'm finally going to be an auntie!!), and my sister-in-law and I were chatting afterwards and she was telling me how awkward it is to share the pregnancy news as well...and after having seen her share the news three times at different family gatherings over the holidays, I totally feel your pain, haha!
Okay, but seriously, I am SO excited for the two of you!! Babies are so awesome!
