I'm so far behind on blogging outfits, I'm going to combine a couple today! I hope no one still thinks that horizontal stripes are unflattering, but I've heard it here and there over the years, especially about pregnant women. Like really? Do these stripes make my baby look fat? Wait - don't answer that.
Anyway, if you've been reading around here very long (or at all), you probably know I'm fully on-board the stripes train. Preferably with another print or pattern in the same outfit.
And in case you are interested, this is my view these days (or actually, from about a week ago). I can still see my ankles, you guys!

I've never believed that about horizontal stripes. I think they are fabulous, especially in these two outfits on you! Great looks!
ReplyDeleteLove the stripes on you! And I love that belly shot!

I think these are both wonderful on you. Love the stripes with the bright cardigans!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought that about horizontal stripes. They are my favorite pattern to wear! I really like how you've worn them in both outfits, but especially the second one with the leopard flats and that adorable bump pic!
ReplyDeleteI've heard the idea that horizontal stripes are not flattering but I don't think it's true, and I've found that they look better on me than vertical stripes. These are both really cute outfits. I laughed out loud at stripes making your baby look fat haha.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that horizontal stripes are unflattering, but I think that it really depends on the fabric and style of shirt. By looking the curvature of the stripes on the second outfit we can tell you're pregnant. (That's not offensive, right? It's not meant to be.) I want your second outfit, please and thanks :)
ReplyDeleteFellow stripe fan here--I'm pretty sure I have a striped shirt to last me every day of the month. Eek. I agree with Kate--everyone says horizontal stripes are unflattering, but I think it really depends. You look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYep, you're adorable. Also, I don't buy the horizontal stripes thing for a minute! Or maybe I'm in denial about it, haha. I just can't stop wearing stripes, and goodness knows I already have enough extra weight on me, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteStripes are my absolute favorite pattern. I love pairing them with other patterns. I especially love them with polka dots, leopard and floral. Both outfits are cute.
ReplyDeleteI am just catching up. =)
