Copycat Orange and Green
This outfit was 100% inspired by this pin. I think the original version looks a little bit better with a mostly white top that has orange dots on it. My mostly orange top with the green sweater just made me feel a little bit too much like a Miami fan. Isn't that annoying how perfectly good color combinations are ruined by team colors?

Floral Week - Ruffle Tank Top
Well, I started the week with a top and I'm ending the week with a top. I know quite a few of my favorite bloggers have this print in the skirt version, but I never found it. I do love the ruffly tank top, so it's all good!
It has been a wild and crazy week with my sister and nieces in town. Yesterday, we went on a bit of a shopping spree at the outlet mall. I may have purchased some floral flats at J.Crew Factory. I may have been slightly under the influence of Floral Theme week, but they are super cute and I think I'll wear them quite a bit this spring/summer!
Thanks to everyone who linked up this week. The linky stays live until Monday, so you still have time if you want to jump in!

Floral Week - Skirt
Floral Week continues with this pencil skirt! I'm still on the lookout for a floral pencil skirt with more colors in it, but I really like this one for now. I don't have much to say today. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I'm keeping busy with my nieces this week. We had way too much fun at the zoo yesterday, and today I'm going to surprise them with a trip to the pottery painting store. I think they are going to love it! Anyway, there's still time to link up your floral looks! Info after the jump...
Also, I'm using this outfit for the pastel entry in Sarah's April Looking Lucky Style Challenge.

Green Week - Skirt
I finally remembered to bring my wind machine with me for outfit photos! Or maybe the windy season is just upon us. I actually love windy days, as long as it's not too cold outside. Blame it on growing up in Kansas! Unfortunately, windy days are not ideal for taking pictures. There are a lot more outtakes than usual, and most involve my hair obstructing my face or me trying to prevent my hair from obstructing my face. Hashtag StyleBloggerProblems.
This is what I actually wore on St. Patrick's Day. One of my co-workers said "I see you are wearing lots of green today!" and I thought "not LOTS, just a skirt!"
I was inspired by this outfit, and then obviously made some changes based on the items in my wardrobe. I thought my bright blue cami would show through the sheer floral pattern on my shirt, but it actually isn't noticeable at all. Maybe I should have worn my lace shirt instead. Maybe next time!
We are halfway through GREEN WEEK. Remember you can link up any day! I'm also linking up with Pinned It & Did It and Style Swap with Ginny and Jenn.

Third Thursday - Beauty
When Bri announced that this month's theme was beauty, I was like "huh - I don't really do that!" I mostly just look the way I look and then wear clothes! My hair and make-up routine is pretty minimal. In fact, I did a post about it back in 2012, if you are interested. The only change for my hair is that I switched to using sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and I use a deep-conditioner about once a week. I also add some leave-in conditioner before I slather on the mousse. I pretty much have 3 hairstyles - down, ponytail, and bun. Sometimes, I will do a braid (or two). But it's usually just down and curly!
I don't paint my nails very often, because I am notorious for picking at any little bump. So if the nails are perfect, I won't mess with them, but if there is even a tiny smudge, I will destroy the whole thing within a couple of days. I should really exercise more self-control with that, because painted nails are pretty!
As you can see, I was sort of stumped, and then Bri mentioned lipstick. Last summer, I bought some lip-stain and I really liked it, but I always forget to put it on. So, I made sure to remember to paint my lips pink for this day! I'm not a fan of actual lipstick, but I love the lip-stain, because the color goes on easily, and then you can add glossiness with the balm.
Anyway, maybe I'll pick up some tips from the other ladies who link up!

#12 - Combat
Have any of you been to a BodyCombat class? I think it's basically just kickboxing, but the Les Mills "official" version. It was intense! I'm not a particularly coordinated or aggressive person, so I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I'll definitely be going back. After I have a few days to recover. I just need to get my courage up to try all the other classes.
This outfit has nothing to do with working out, but until Old Navy decides to send me a bunch of free gear, I won't be posting sporty outfits.

#11 - Not Boots
Get excited - I'm not wearing boots! The weather finally warmed up enough that flats are a viable option again. We'll see how long it lasts, but I figured I need to take advantage of the opportunity while I have it. Or I should have only included boots in my shoe options.
