Gold Skirt Remix


I think it's time to say goodbye to this skirt.  It's been a good skirt and I've worn it a lot over the last 3 years, but the overlay is getting more snags in it, so I have to let it go.  But not without a remix collage first!  So without further ado, here are 23 ways I have worn this skirt in the last 3 years:

I remember when I bought this skirt in the summer of 2011, and thinking "how am I going to wear a gold skirt?" but I loved it and it was like $10, so I went for it.  I'm so glad I did, because I quickly learned that it's basically a neutral!  And I know I've worn it many other times, so I definitely got my money's worth.  I'm sad that it's finally going to the Goodwill pile, but it was a much-loved and frequently-worn skirt for a few years!

    You got good use out of that skirt, especially for it only costing $10! I like it paired with blue the best.

    Umm, I love this post. What a nice tribute to a lovely article of clothing. Also, can I tell you that I went "WAH!" when I saw the thumbnail of this outfit? You look so lovely in this color palette.

    Wow, not bad for a $10 find! This does seem like an item I would like, but worry about how to wear. You totally got your money's worth here! Time to find a new metallic, where with all, skirt.

    What an excellent example of cost-per-wear. I think #9, 16, and 22 are my favorites. Do you have a favorite way you wore it? And have you sung goodbye to your skirt yet? Goodbye, gold skirt!

    Definitely saving this for future reference! I have a shimmery skirt I thrifted a while ago, but I wasn't sure how exactly to wear it. Now I've got 23 ideas :)

    Oh. My. Gosh. Seeing all these photos together is making me irrationally happy - what a fun skirt! I love how it looks with tights, and it's so bold when worn with red as well! Also, I'm not saying this to be creepy at all, but your legs are so great! The shorter length of this skirt shows them off nicely!! :)
