I Heart Chambray

This is another total copycat outfit.  Whenever I get a new item of clothing, I go on Pinterest and search for it to get inspiration.  I pinned this shortly after buying my green pencil skirt.  I just love bright green and mint together!  Due to the weather, I had to add tights and boots, instead of nude pumps, so I guess it's not a total rip-off.  I do think it would be cuter with the nude heels.  Maybe I'll do that when it gets warmer!

This is my first outfit in the modified "Take One, Pass It On" challenge.  I picked my chambray shirt from Friday's post.

I am also guest posting today for Laura over at Calm Delight.  I'm showing several ways you can style a chambray shirt!  Here's a sneak peak:

Gold Skirt

Do you ever buy something thinking that it's kind of ridiculous, but then it ends up being a frequently worn item?  This gold skirt is one of those things.  I got it last summer at the Gap, on clearance.  I just loved it, but didn't really know what I would wear with it. Turns out, I can wear it with a bunch of things!  It's practically a neutral.

I used this collage in my repeat offenders post, and I've worn this skirt one other time since then, too.  It just goes to show that sometimes your heart is really smarter than your head when shopping!

Leopard Mint

I'm still trying to get the hang of taking outfit photos in my new office.  There's nothing tall enough for me to set my camera on for pictures.  I really need to invest in a tripod and probably a remote sometime.  Anyone want to buy me a present?  Perhaps a belated 10,000 days gift?  No?  Well, you can't blame a girl for trying.

Anyway, you can't tell in the picture, but this cardigan is a very light mint green.  I really want to get on the bright green and leopard bandwagon, but my shopping ban is really cramping my style.  I'm hoping on April 12, I will find some bright green skinnies on the clearance rack at Old Navy.

Bonus Day!

Happy Leap Day!  This outfit is from a couple weeks ago, when John and I went out to dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day!

This dress is one of the last things I purchased before my shopping break.  It was about $5 at Old Navy.  I'm not crazy about the color, but I think it is a cute style and will mix into my wardrobe well.  I'm thinking about trying to dye it, but I haven't decided yet.
