Bachelorette Party

My sister-in-law is getting married in a couple weeks, so we've been busy with various celebrations recently.  This is what I wore for her bachelorette party.

I just went to the dinner portion of the evening and then headed home, because it was past my new bedtime and because I was missing my kid like crazy!  Someday I will be away from him for more than 3 hours, but not yet.

Here I am with the beautiful bride-to-be!  She's in high heels and I'm in flats, so we are almost the same height!  Have I mentioned that I'm a giant compared to the other women in John's family???

Graphic Tee Week - Do What You Love

Graphic Tee Week is here!  Get excited!  Be sure to check out Priya's posts this week, and remember you can link up with us every day!

Most of my t-shirts are of the concert/sports team/vacation souvenir variety, but the ones I wear to work are usually of the more fashiony variety.  This particular one was a steal ($2.50) at the Gap a few summers ago.  I like it because it kind of just looks like a flowery design from far away, but if you look closely, it says "Do What You Love."  Matchy-matchy seemed like the way to go, so I played off the blue of the shirt and added this skirt, and then played off the orange/coral in the skirt to add the cardigan.

Let me just say that this might be my most-complimented outfit ever.  My co-workers were really onboard with this look.

Skirt Week - Orange and Blue

Last time I wore this skirt, I realized I should have taken a close-up, so you can really see the pattern.  Lesson learned - I totally remembered this time.  Anyway, I wore this outfit to the Rainbow Rowell book signing, and then I remembered that I wore this cardigan to her last event.  Not that anyone would remember, but I thought it was weird.

And other people probably thought it was weird that I was taking pictures in the parking lot.  But I'm getting more and more used to the awkward stares.

Link up below!  And remember to check out the other links!  And it's Tuesday, so you should also link up with Laura for Confident Twosday

So Nice, I Bought it Twice

Meet another new skirt.  I loved this style at Gap Factory so much, I had to buy it in both color/pattern options.  Plus, they ended up being $12 each during friends and family weekend, so I couldn't resist.  I should have taken a close up picture, but the stripes are chevron -  blue and a coral/orange/pink color.  Basically, the stripes will look like they go with most colors of tops.  But I went with the easy option of my trusty chambray popover.  Again, I like it so much that I bought a second one in the exact same color/style.

For the record, I only bought these sandals in navy, although I was very tempted to buy mint or black as well.  And it might still happen if they get even cheaper at Target.
