It seems like cobalt blue pretty much goes with everything. I've really been loving it with green recently, so putting these jeans with this t-shirt was a no-brainer. I wore this for a casual movie date with John, and thought my Chucks would be cute. But then I took pictures and felt goofy. Like I was trying too hard to look young. Or maybe sneakers and skinny jeans just don't look right on me. I don't know, but I swapped out the shoes for some pointy-toe flats and felt much better. Here's the comparison:
Which do you prefer?
Also, it's the last day of Green Week! The linky will stay open for a couple days, so you still have time to jump in. Thanks to everyone who jumped in and extra special thanks to my lovely co-hosts - Heather and Ashley.
Cardigan: Urban Outfitters
Tee, Jeans, Flats: Old Navy
Sneakers: Converse
Linky info is after the jump!
I agree that I like the flats better. I'm not much of a sneaker girl, myself, which may explain my preference. What a fun color for a pair of skinnies!
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a sneaker girl, but I think they are cute for a casual weekend look. Cobalt does look great with green! Thanks for having me co-host too. It's been a fun week!
ReplyDeleteI been wearing a lot of sneaker lately. I like you outfit with the falts
ReplyDeleteWell considering I am drooling over those flats, I definitely prefer them! And there is something about any shade of blue with green that I just adore. You look amazing! I just love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how this outfit looks with your chucks!! Sometimes I think my chucks look a bit silly with skinny jeans, so I usually cuff them. I probably mostly prefer to wear them with shorts though.
ReplyDeleteI like the flats more. But then again, I don't get wearing Converse as a fashion statement. I like them most with shorts. Either way, I really like the blue and green together!
ReplyDeleteyou are right, these colors look great together! i struggle with choosing the right footwear to wear with skinny pants, too, but i think you made the right choice with what you felt the most comfortable in. there's nothing worse than trying something and then being uncomfortable the entire day because it doesn't feel/look quite right to you! thanks for hosting this link up all week too, i managed to participate a couple days!
ReplyDeleteI like the flats a lot, but I agree with Inge - if the jeans were cuffed, it might make you feel differently about the outfit :) I love the cobalt and green together, too!
