Blazer Week - Gray Stripes
When I did my remix post with this blazer, Brynn asked if I'd ever worn it with my green jeans. Surprisingly, I had not! Blazer Week was the perfect excuse. And I loved it - except my typical tall girl problem of tops seeming too short and then my under-tank tops are an awkward little band across my middle. I wish I had an off-white tank top that would be less conspicuous, but whatever.
Happy last day of Blazer Week! Thanks to everyone who joined in and as always, special thanks to my co-host Danielle! Remember you can still link up until Monday at midnight.

Busy Week
Friday is here, which means we have survived another week. It seemed really busy, but as I look back, I can't really tell you why. Probably because I get all stressed out about getting a flu shot. And my arm still hurts. Ridiculous
This outfit is from a few weeks ago when John and I went on an impromptu Saturday evening dinner date. It's gotten chilly enough in the evenings that I'm happy to wear my jeans again. And this top really has stars on it, but they just look like polka dots from far away. I probably say that every time I wear it.

Tricksy
So, I might have gone on vacation this week. Basically, I'll be soaking up the sun all week (with plenty of sunscreen to protect my skin!). I was going to ask for guest posters while I'm away, but then I forgot. So, I have a couple outfit posts scheduled, and am getting caught up on book review posts. And then I'll have those obnoxious vacation recap posts, and then back to normal. So, you've been warned. I won't be replying to comments or commenting on your posts this week, but I still like you guys. I promise.
I'm using this outfit for the metallic entry in Sarah's April Looking Lucky Style Challenge, because the toes of my shoes are very shiny! I wanted to wear my gold skirt, but the weather didn't cooperate.

April Snow & Flowers
Friday is here! And if everything has gone according to plan, I'm on my way to Minnesota for the weekend. My cousin is getting married this evening, and then I have a date with the Mall of America tomorrow. I'm pretty excited for the various weekend plans, but I could do without the expected 8-13 inches of snow! Come on, Minnesota! Oh wait, Nebraska is also getting snow. Come on, Midwest! Let's get this spring started!
In an attempt to encourage spring's arrival, next week, I'm teaming up with Brynn and Kate to pretend it is spring, even if it is still snowing. That's right, another theme week! We'll be posting floral outfits throughout the week, and you can join in as many days as you want!

Green Week - Jeans
It seems like cobalt blue pretty much goes with everything. I've really been loving it with green recently, so putting these jeans with this t-shirt was a no-brainer. I wore this for a casual movie date with John, and thought my Chucks would be cute. But then I took pictures and felt goofy. Like I was trying too hard to look young. Or maybe sneakers and skinny jeans just don't look right on me. I don't know, but I swapped out the shoes for some pointy-toe flats and felt much better. Here's the comparison:
Which do you prefer?
Also, it's the last day of Green Week! The linky will stay open for a couple days, so you still have time to jump in. Thanks to everyone who jumped in and extra special thanks to my lovely co-hosts - Heather and Ashley.

Meant to Be
Once upon a time (about 2 years ago), I decided that I should buy some green skinny jeans. It seemed like an easy enough task, but I could not find any that were the right color of green, that fit properly, and that were in my price range (like less than $20).
Then on Black Friday (2013), I was shopping at Old Navy and saw these Sweetheart jeans in the perfect green color. For some reason, I convinced myself that I shouldn't buy them, and instead bought 2 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of tights, a skirt, and a cardigan (all of which I really like). But I left the jeans. Why did I leave the jeans??
Anyway, I kept thinking about the jeans, but didn't have a chance to go back and figured they would be gone. After Christmas, I had to return some duplicate items to Old Navy, so I hoped I would find the jeans still there. Victory! There was a big stack on the sale table. $10! But they had every size except mine. I tried on a size up and a size down (because Old Navy sizes are never exact), but neither were quite right. I asked the worker to run a search and the other store near me had my size! So, I put them on hold and drive across town to get these jeans. And then I was doing the 30X30, so I couldn't wear them.
So there's the very exciting story of how I finally got my green jeans. And of course, they were the first thing I wanted to wear after the 30X30 was over! I decided to borrow one of my favorite green skirt outfits, which was inspired by this pin.
Speaking of exciting things, I'm super pumped for next week, because I'm joining forces with 5 of my favorite ladies to host a week long red and pink Valentine's Day extravaganza. That may be overstating a bit, but we will be wearing red and/or pink every day next week, and there will be a link up, so you can join in! See, it's so exciting!
Today I'm linking up with Heather for Pinned it & Did It AND with Jenn and Ginny for their new Style Swap (even though I can't find the original post for my pin).
