Just Okay

This outfit is from a few weeks ago.  I don't love it.  I don't hate it, but it's just kind of blah.  I should have added a belt or something.  Plus these tights just make me look like my legs are kind of tan, and it's going to be very disappointing when I'm actually showing my knees and they are just slightly darker than the white wall behind me.

Top & Cardigan: J.Crew factory
Dress (as a skirt) & Tights: Old Navy
Boots: Steve Madden
Necklace: Charming Charlie

  1. It's such a bummer for me when I can't figure out what's wrong with my outfit or fix it until I like it before I walk out the door. I do like the striped skirt/dress though! And the chambray looks great with your cardigan!

  2. Oh but I'm such a sucker for a chambray + cardigan combo!

  3. I actually really wish I had nude tights! It's 70* here, and I'm not ready to show off my pasty legs. But I can't remember what 70* feels like, and I think that's too hot not to? Either way, sorry that your outfit just was. It's better than hating it, though, right?

  4. I love the dress as a skirt. I always forget about that option. I totally understand how you feel too.

  5. At least you totally didn't hate the outfit. I don't think it's blah at all, but I can definitely understand. Some outfits just don't give me the zing like others do. So scared to be bare legged. My legs are blinding white!

  6. I wore pantyhose for the first time today, and it was WEIRD. I am still unsure how I feel about it. I'M feeling the outfit. Maybe if you had a dangly necklace (not sure of the technical term) it would break up the middle of a shirt in the same way a belt would. I think these boots look perfect on you, by the way.

  7. Those boots are adorable! I also hate it when I love an outfit when I look in the mirror, but then look through actual outfit pics and see all the things I would have changed... I do love the tans/browns/blues color pallet you have here!
