Weekend Wrap-Up

This weekend was pretty great!  It seems like weekends are always really busy, so I was kind of excited to have nothing on the agenda.  A free weekend gave me the opportunity to do a few things that I've been meaning to do for awhile, including (but not limited to):

  • Having some newer friends over for dinner Friday.
  • Giving myself a much-needed haircut.  It seems really short to me, but only one person noticed at church, so it's probably not obvious at all.  I mean, it's more like armpit length than elbow length.  My curls are so springy now!
  • Catching up on all the ironing, while watching several episodes of Once Upon a Time.  Such a fun show - why has no one told me to watch it?  Maybe it's terrible and I just have bad taste!
  • A much needed real date night.  I mean, I pretty much call it a date any time John and I go out to dinner.  But this was an official date.  We're talking dinner, mini-golf, fro-yo.  I'm a simple girl!

This outfit has nothing to do with the weekend.  I actually wore it to work last Monday.  I hope you are prepared to see these sandals quite a bit, because they will likely be a summer closet MVP.

  3. Real dates are few and far between for us so I always get so excited when we have a chance to go out. We love simple things like mini golf, movies, bowling, etc. It's just fun to spend time together!

  4. Sounds like a good weekend! It is nice to have nothing to do on the weekends, which is a rarity for us. We did have yesterday evening free and we played Lego Lord of the Rings :) haha

  5. Oh it sounds like you had an awesome weekend! I think it's awesome that you cut your own hair... I wish I had those skills! And yay for date night - that sounds like my kind of perfect date :)

  6. I miss my longer hair, but it's so nice to not have to deal with the hassle these days. Hooray for fun weekends!

  7. Weekends are the best! My hair really needs to be thinned due to it turning into a monster but I don't want to pay $50 for something that won't take too long.

  8. Oh no, Once Upon a Time is AMAZING! It's my new favorite show. I cannot wait until it comes back on in the fall.

  10. Once Upon a Time is a GREAT show! Well, if others think it's terrible, you at least have a fellow addict in your midst. I need to get my hair cut, too. Of course, every time I go to cut my hair, I have an awesome hair day and feel tricked into going longer without a cut. Stupid hair.

  12. Oooh, I love the simplicity of this outfit, Andi! You look great in cobalt, as usual. And I'm super happy to hear that you love these sandals - aren't they the best?! PS. Getting caught up on your blog today...get ready for comments, hahaha!
