On Saturday, the weather was just ridiculously gorgeous, so obviously we decided to go to the zoo. As did everyone else in a 200 mile radius apparently. When we too the exit ramp off the highway, and saw the zoo parking lot, we abandoned our mission and decided that walking around downtown would be just as fun and probably a lot less stressful.
This was my attempt to be comfortable while still feeling slightly cute. I think it worked okay, except the wind was like "cute cardigan - let's make it be a cape instead!" so most of the pictures we took ended up as outtakes!
And of course, I have to include a little family selfie, because these guys are my favorites.

Impromptu change of plans trips can be so fun sometimes! I think now that spring is here, people won't feel the need to take advantage of the weather, and zoo attendance shouldn't be as high. But maybe it's different when you have one of the nation's best in your backyard.
