The Problem with Pants
The other day, Kendi wrote about the problem with skirts, when they feel too fancy for every day wear. I realized I have the opposite problem - I feel sloppy (just look at those wrinkles from sitting at my desk!) and kind of like a boy when I wear dress pants. This is the 3rd pants outfit I have posted to the blog, and I'm nearing 100 posts. Do I really wear pants only 3% of the time? I think so. Granted, I'm not including jeans in my definition of pants. I wear jeans pretty often.
Maybe I've been brain-washed by my private school days. I mean, I had to wear a dress/jumper every day from 2nd-5th grade, and then an equally unattractive skirt from 6th-high school. And I always wore a skirt or dress to church on Sundays.
I'll probably just keep wearing skirts and dresses.

I much prefer skirts and dresses for work too - love the one you had on in the previous post.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I have a problem with both skirts and pants. I really do like wearing skirts and dresses, but they're not all that practical with my job and I can never seem to find a really great flattering pair of pants. My favorite work pants are some black Mossimo skinnies from Target. They're super comfy and aren't all baggy and weird like a lot of my other work pants.
ReplyDeleteI think the real problem with pants is that is it harder to get the fit right. I'm always buying whatever is on sale, so if it 'fits', I get it, even if it isn't the most flattering. I should probably spend a little more on nicer pairs of pants. Maybe I will check out Target!!
