Valentine's Week - More Red & Pink

I think this outfit might be ridiculous, but I just love it anyway.  I have totally been neglecting this skirt since the cold weather arrived.  Yes, it's a summery fabric and color, but some fleece-lined tights and boots help transition it into the winter months.  I don't do the whole "closet transition" thing like some of you.  Other than shorts and heavier sweaters, I think most of my wardrobe is pretty translatable to all seasons.  Which is good, because there isn't a lot of warning when the seasons will be changing.  And yes, sometimes we experience all 4 seasons within a couple of days!  It's very confusing.

Top, Cardigan, Belt: Old Navy
Necklace: InPink
Skirt: Loft
Boots: Steve Madden

  1. I love Valentine's week because you can totally get away with wearing pink and red together! That skirt is such a pretty color! I love how you transitioned it to winter. And I don't put away clothes either for seasons, I try to use things year round as much as possible.

  2. It's not ridiculous at all! That skirt is one of my favorites that you own. It's so pretty and feminine and has so many remixing possibilities. I love that you winterized it and made it work for colder months!

  3. This outfit totally works! You have been nailing the pink and red combos this week. I'm with you, most of my closet works for the whole year.

  4. I would definitely wear something like this this week, because if it actually is ridiculous, you can use the holiday as an excuse. Come March, not so much. I am bummed that I didn't think of this outfit myself- probably because my coral pleat skirt is stored away. My goal at the end of the year is to not have a tub of summer clothes but be able to keep them out all year long. If I get rid of stuff and make space, I think it's possible. Anyway, Inge's right. You deserve the crown for this week.

  8. I love this flowy skirt! The proportions of the skirt with the more fitted cardigan looks great. Thanks so much for hosting this link up!

  10. Dangit, that's the skirt I stalked at LOFT, and it was never in my size. WAH. It looks lovely on you, and I'm sad all over again. My pitifulness aside, this is a fun, expected combination of colors. I like it :)

  11. Wow, what a beautiful skirt, Andi! I love how it looks on you! :) I don't rotate my clothes based on the season either, so I'm a huge fan of winterizing different summery pieces! I think I'm going to try winterizing one of my summer dresses in the next couple of days - it's a great way to stay excited about getting dressed, haha.
