Star-Spangled Symphony

I really meant to post this on the 4th of July, but I was too busy hanging out with my family to worry about blogging, so a week late will have to suffice.  These pictures are from the Thursday night Symphony on the Prairie concert in Indy.  My nieces really wanted us to all be matching and patriotic, so my sister got us these fun scarves from Old Navy.

We did some regular posing, and then the girls peer pressured me into posing like zombies.  I have no idea why, but they can convince me to do almost anything.

We even snagged my dad for a picture!
The concert was wonderful and the weather was perfect!  They played all the patriotic songs, and even had a harmonica soloist.  There was a gorgeous sunset and everything!

The finale was the 1812 overture with cannons accompanying!  And then a spectacular fireworks show.  It was really a perfect summer evening!

  2. You all are too adorable. Is the one in the front actually wearing her shoes? Either way, they're so cute with the stars on them! I love the pictures with the sunburst of light coming in from the side.

  6. For some reason, I confused zombies with mummies, and I was confused as to what kind of mummies you were supposed to be. So.. yeah... hey matching scarves are fun and cute! Perfect for the 4th!
