Jailbird

This outfit seemed like a good idea in my imagination, but then I just felt like a convict all day.  I thought the chambray and leopard would break it up enough, but I was wrong.  So unless you are dressing up for Halloween, I'd caution against black/white stripes with black pants.

  1. I "lol-ed" at the title of this post. I think it's cute! Maybe with knee high brown boots instead of the leopard loafers though? The leopard and chambray makes sense in the head, but I know how it is. You put things together in your mind, are determined they'll look great, and then you insist on wearing it. At the end of the day you're like, this just didn't work. It's a pain.

  2. I don't know what just happened to my comment. long story short, you don't look like a jailbird since you're not in an orange jumpsuit. But maybe a bright scarf would make you feel less jailbird-y? Or just embrace it and wear the black hat next time :P

  4. Nah I think it looks good! I really like it with the chambray and leopard flats. I do usually wear my b&w striped sweater with cobalt pants, or with a colorful scarf.

  5. Hahaha. I think you look great and not in a convicty way at all! I do think the chambray and leopard print added great detail to the outfit!

  6. Hahaha, this post totally cracked me up - your sense of humor makes me laugh, Andi! I actually like this outfit, but I can see what you mean about feeling like a convict in the stripes. I wonder if a big old necklace or a scarf or some boots would help it stay out of jail territory??
