Last day in Montana (featuring goats!)

On our last day in Montana (before the 2 day drive home), we packed up our stuff and ventured through the park on the Going to the Sun road.  It's a gorgeous drive, so there was a lot to look at along the way.  We stopped near the middle of the park to do a little hike up to the Hidden Lake Overlook.  This is apparently a very popular hangout spot for mountain goats, because we saw several.  These goats are not at all concerned with humans, so they were sitting right by the trail, or walking along next to us.

After the hike, we made the rest of the trip across the park, checked out Lake McDonald, and then started our trek back to Nebraska.

Overall, it was a great trip!  Driving for about 45 hours total was ridiculous, but good company made it bearable (and even fun!).  Glacier National Park was gorgeous, and we had amazing weather.  I'd really recommend going there if you ever have the opportunity!

So, where should my next vacation be?  I've completely depleted my PTO, so I better let it build back up for a few months!

  2. Goats are so awesome! We're going to Colorado next week-- if it's awesome (which I suspect it will be), I'll probably end up recommending that. It's not that far from Nebraska either?!

  4. Seriously beautiful. I loose touch with this just staying within a five mile radius of my house.
