Blazer Week - Coral Stripes

Let's just jump from yesterday's most expensive blazer to today's cheapest.  This one set me back $7, and honestly, I probably should have left it, because I haven't worn it much in the year since I got it.  It was right around the time when it seemed like every blogger I knew was buying that coral blazer from Gap and I loved it!  But I wasn't going to spend that much, and then I saw this one and thought it was close enough.  But something about it being coral and striped just makes it harder to style.

Today is also the Third Thursday of the month, which means it's time to link up with Bri.  Her theme this month is Fall Footwear.  I'm pretty sure Nebraska has decided fall is SO LAST SEASON, and we are firmly in winter.  But I did wear this particular outfit when we were having lovely fall weather.  I know some girls jump at the first slightly cool day as an opportunity to break out the boots, but I cling to my non-boot footwear as long as I possibly can, because I know my boots will start to feel boring when I have to wear them on repeat for 4 months straight.  So I wore my gold flats, which you can't really see.  But it was fall, and I had footwear, so it counts, right?

Blazer Week continues below!  Link up your looks and be sure to check out the other links!

  1. That blazer is so cute, but I would have a hard time figuring out what goes with it, too! I love it with the chambray though!

  2. Hahaha. I really like your fall footwear reasoning! I've been wearing a lot of booties this fall and have been saving my riding boots for the colder weather. Hopefully I won't get sick of any one pair that way. I'm also feeling you on the blazer. I have a navy and white striped blazer (which seems like it might be more versatile than the coral one) but I don't wear it very often because I'm slightly stumped as to how to style it.

  4. I'm honestly surprised this blazer gets neglected. You need to wear it four more times. Once with a white top, once with a black top, and once with a patterned top? And then you can do it the way you want for the fourth time. haha. you're so lucky to have a blogger friend like me :)

jk. but seriously, thank goodness for challenges that get us to wear our neglected items!

  5. I'm with you on the boots thing. I really like them, but I get sooo tired after months and months of wearing them. I just started wearing mine again recently in this crazy cold. Oh and I really like this blazer!

  6. I'm definitely one of those girls who jumps at the chance to wear boots...probably because I could get away with wearing flats year-round if I wanted to. The grass is always greener, I guess...

  7. This blazer is so cute, Andi! It reminds me a lot of my pink and white striped dress...which I am kind of lazy about and only have worn with my denim jacket, a pink cardigan, a camel cardigan, my olive vest, and my gray blazer. So...maybe you could try this blazer with a pink/coral top? Camel/tan top? Olive top? Gray top? Plus the more obvious black or white?

  8. heh heh i remember that coral blazer from gap, gosh, but i can't remember seeing anyone wear it in some time. it's too bad that fads are so shortlived. i love this striped blazer though so i hope after wearing it here you can find some more ways to wear it!

  9. This may be my favorite blazer of yours this week! I really can't believe you don't wear it that often, especially during the spring/summer. I think it'd look pretty over a fit and flare dress.
