Baby Smith Is A...

Ninja!  I mean, based on all the kicks I've been getting this week, that's the only explanation.  Or maybe a Rockette.  But they don't let guys into the Rockettes, so he's probably a ninja.

You read that right, our baby is a BOY!  It's pretty exciting, except that boy names are completely impossible.

And if you are just here for the clothes, this outfit is a copycat of a copycat that I did last year.  The original inspiration came from Whitney's Instagram post, and featured a blue cardigan.  But then my blue cardigan was dirty, so I substituted my pink one.  I still had in my mind that I wanted to wear this outfit with the blue cardigan, so I did this a few weeks ago.  I much prefer the shirt shame-tucked, and the belt at my actual waist, but that's not happening these days, so I tried a higher belt, and didn't really like it.  But I felt like I needed the belt to go with the boots, so it stayed.  I might have to try this outfit again next January when I can (hopefully) wear a belt at the normal place!

  1. Congratulations on the baby boy! (see I can be more specific in my congratulations) I do like these items together. I'm having a hard time visualizing the pink, but I think it would be good together too. Maybe instead a necklace with a little wooden accent for the boots instead of needing the belt?

  2. Hurray! Boy names aren't too bad at all! I am scared if we ever have another girl that we wouldn't be able to pick a name because we loved Claire so much (even had that name picked out 3 years before I was pregnant)!

  3. Yay, little boys are the best! Though I had a lot of trouble with names too... but you've got time :) Things start to get complicated for a while with belts - pretty soon you'll only be able to wear the shirt unbuttoned too, ha! But I love the combination with the striped skirt.

  6. Yay!! I totally agree that boy names are so much harder than girl names. :) I think I had Adam talked into the only boy name I thought might work though, so we're good in case Sophia surprises us and turns out to be a boy hahaha. Good luck, and you look great!

  9. Hahaha I'm with Inge- Ninja Smith! Or go all Pocahontas and name him John Smith. :P I say that, but you probably have like 5 John Smiths in your family already. lol. Congrats on your baby boy though! And I think the belt looks fine, but maybe try a skinnier belt and you may feel more comfortable?

  10. Congrats on your baby boy. For some reason the whole time I pictured it would be a boy. Almost all the pregnant bloggers I follow are currently expecting boys. Strange hmm?

  12. AH! I am so excited for you!! A little boy! So exciting :) I'm a total self-professed name nerd and have tons of favorite names. Since Kevin and I are not planning to have children at this point, I won't be able to use any on any human babies, but I still think about it all the time, haha. Let me know if you need any suggestions or want any good websites to search for name ideas!
