Happy Friday! Happy November! Oh, I have to do a goal review for October? Blergh. My excuses this month involve mostly birthday activities. Here's the deal:
- Do a project, mostly sewing - nope.
- Work out 3x a week - ummm... I don't think so.
- Tackle a project around the house - nope, I barely kept up with the routine chores!
- Cook a "real" meal at least 3 days each week - Probably not. I feel like we were busy in the evenings more this month, so we aren't always home for dinner
- Stick to a clothing budget - Success! I'm using up my overages from earlier in the year, but I'm still under budget for Year-to-date. Plus, I have some bonus birthday present money!
- Read 50 books in 2013 - October was a good month for reading! I finished 7 books, so I'm back on track for the year.
Basically, if being a person was a job, I'd be fired. Why can't exercising and home-making be as easy as reading books and shopping the right amount??

Don't beat yourself up too much. Making it through 7 books is amazing! Maybe set your goal a little smaller in regards to cooking at home or working out from 3x a week to 1-2 x a week. Then you will still feel like you accomplished something. Plus, there is always next month, right?
ReplyDeleteWhat about all the other things you've accomplished?! Like wearing great outfits and being an awesome blogging friend?! That's gotta count for something :)
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with Kate, there are lots of other great things from the month that did not make the list, I'm sure! I can't believe you read 7 books. I love to read but I've been reading my current book for the entire month and am still only 3/4 of the way through!
ReplyDeleteOh man, you are way better at reading books than me. My goal has been one book a month this year, and I'm a few months behind. And I still need to do my budget post. I agree with the others, you got a lot accomplished this month that wasn't on your goals list! You should do what I do with my to do lists-- add stuff you've already done so you can check it off. ;)
