Defying Gravity

Last week, I got to sit in the front row at Wicked.  This is one of the perks of having season tickets to the Broadway Across America shows - I get early access to the good seats, and I don't have to pay as much for them.  It's such an incredible show, and sitting up front was even more amazing.

I was so excited about the show that I completely forgot to take outfit pictures beforehand, so I took these when I got home.  You can kind of tell I am slightly drunk on musical theater.  If I had an ounce of singing/dancing/acting talent, I'd probably quit my job and move to New York.  Okay, I wouldn't do that, because I'd miss John too much.  But you know, if I was talented enough, I bet he'd come with me.  And when I failed, I could always come back and do local theater.  That would be fun, too.

Anyway, I took it as a good excuse to wear my airplane dress again.  Because Elphaba defies gravity, and so do airplanes.  See what I did there?

  1. You can DEFINITELY tell how happy you are in these pictures!! I love Wicked (I have seen it once but would totally see it again!). I am so glad you all got to go. And you wore the perfect outfit too!

  2. I really like how you styled the dress this time! I can wait for Saturday, that's when we're going!

  3. And now you'll have me singing it all day long! I'm glad you had a good time, and the dress was perfect for the occasion!

  4. Your green sweater is really appropriate too! I love that musical! That's so fun you got to see it up close!

  5. I love that musical so much. This plane dress is so pretty and great to wear for the occassion.

  6. You're so clever. I really like the green with this dress!

  7. gorgeous dress, andi -- it is so flattering on you! i love the fun print. one of thees days i need to expand my horizons and check out more plays and musicals.

  8. Ahhh! I'm still so jealous that you got to see Wicked again, and that you had front row seats! I'm a huge musical theater nerd, and I wish I could see more musicals. I am going to see Sister Act through Broadway Across America tomorrow night with Kevin's parents and his brother, and I am SO excited!!!
