As I mentioned last week, Thursday was my birthday! On Saturday, John said we could do whatever I wanted to celebrate, so like the mature 29-year-old that I am, I decided we should go to the zoo. I specifically wanted to go on the "Skyfari," which is a ski-lift that takes you from one of the zoo to the other. It was pretty cool, but we didn't see as many animals as I thought we would.
Saturday evening, we went out to dinner with John's parents and then went back to our house for presents, cake, and cards. I'm pretty excited about my new purse! I've been wanting a Harvey's Seatbelt Bag since about 2001!
And here's me posing with the delicious birthday cake John made.
And here's me posing with the best husband ever. I promise we didn't match on purpose!
So here's to my last year as a 20-something! Thanks to everyone who called/emailed/commented to wish me a happy birthday! It's been a pretty great one!
You look so happy! I think the zoo was the perfect birthday celebration and glad to hear you got your purse. It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! I still love going to the zoo so I probably would have done the same thing!
ReplyDeleteYay, this look wonderful! FYI, the skyfarr totally freaks me out...
ReplyDeleteAww, sounds like the best weekend! Looks like you had a good time. :) And I still need to go on the Skyfari-- the list of reasons I can't wait to get back to NE just keeps growing haha. Once again, happy birthday lady!
ReplyDeleteHm, you would think animals would be out and about more during this cooler months. At least you got to see the polar bear! I've never heard of a seat belt bag! It's great to hear that the day was a good one :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, can we talk about your outfit in your throwback pictures? I stalked all of them, and I love them all. Maybe when I go home over break I'll scan a few priceless ones and post them on the blog.
Yay! I'm so glad you had a good birthday :) I don't think there's anything wrong with embracing your inner child and going somewhere fun and exciting for your birthday! I went to the amusement park in the Mall of America for my 21st birthday, and had a sledding birthday party when I turned 18, haha.
